Supervision
Welcome to the journey to becoming a fully licensed marriage and family therapist! It would be my honor to guide you through this transformational experience. I believe clinical supervision is a developmental process in which the candidate grows in their professional development and identity to become a skilled clinician. As a supervisor, my goal is to help you, the candidate, develop your ability to figure out how to bring your self as a therapist, ethics, and combine your abilities (as you acquire them) to treat your clients, and bring healing to your community.
Through the supervision process I aim to help you:
- Become more aware of your professional strengths and clinical interests
- Increase your skills in treating individuals, couples, and families
- Navigate challenging cases
- Align therapeutic theories with practical interventions
- Develop and maintain healthy boundaries and professional discipline.
With a background in marriage and family therapy, community mental health, and intensive outpatient treatment for trauma, I provide supervision that is informed by respect for one’s unique lived experiences, collaboration to achieve professional goals, and contributing to something greater than one’s self.
Supervision with me is a place to:
- Ask questions without judgement
- Develop your ability to independently evaluate clinical needs and decision making processes
- Explore and discover your personal strengths as a clinician
- Increase your confidence with using your voice and presence as a therapist
- Navigate clinical issues from a systemic perspective
- Celebrate your successes and growth!
If this sounds like a match for what you are looking for in a supervisor, I would love to connect with you.
